New endorsers at Beyerdynamic
We are delighted to welcome two new music giants to "friends of beyerdynamic". Drummer Mel Gaynor and percussionist Lenny Castro now use beyerdynamic equipment.
Mel Gaynor started drumming at the age of 11. Only three years later, he had his first professional engagement. Mel started playing as a session drummer until the present day. Mel Gaynor has also played with artists such as Sir Elton John, Tina Turner, The Pretenders, Robert Palmer, to name but a few. Mel Gaynor swears by beyerdynamic drum microphones: MC 840 (Overhead), Opus 99 (Bass Drum), M 201 TG (Snare Drum), Toms (Opus 97/98), HiHat (MC 930).

Lenny Castro started playing the congas at the age of 15. He learnt to play music just by watching in the parks of New York. Now, Lenny Castro is one of the most sought after session musicians. It is thanks to him that percussion has become a significant part of rock and pop music. He has worked in sessions with reputable artists including the Rolling Stones, Toto, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stevie Wonder, Oasis, Lionel Richie, David Benoit, Fleetwood Mac, Los Lobotomys and Eric Clapton. Two of his best known recordings are the studio version of "Tears in Heaven" by Eric Clapton and "Rosanna" by Toto. For his performances and session work, Lenny uses the models MC 840, MC 930, Opus 87/88.
