WiseNetII DSP - Cutting-Edge Technology in Samsung's IP Megapixel Cameras

Samsung Techwin, ELTEK Distribution's partner, introduces the new WiseNetII DSP chipset, designed for the IP Megapixel cameras. It is capable to visibly improve the performances of the security system, at the same time using a much narrower bandwidth.

The new chipset allows the display of multiple resolutions, from CIF (320 x 240 pixels) up to full HD 1080p and 3 Megapixel (2048 x 1536 pixels). These resolutions can be simultaneously shared allowing the most relevant stream to be directed to the image reproduction or recording devices.

WiseNetII DSP provides Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) functions that allow quality images to be obtained in challenging lighting conditions and Samsung Super Noise Reduction (SSNRII) in order to eliminate image noise.

The chipset embeds an inedited compression technology, called Samsung Smart Codec that allows for a series of specific areas of interest in a monitored scene to be captured at a higher resolution compared to the rest. The doorways, the human faces, the windows etc. are transmitted and recorded at maximum resolution, whilst other zones are reduced in order to save recording space and bandwidth.

The cameras that integrate the WiseNetII DSP chipset are:

• SNB-7000 Full HD Box Camera
• SND-7080 Full HD Dome Camera, flush-mount option
• SND-7080F Full HD Dome Camera, flush-mount option
• SNV-7080 Full HD Dome Camera, vandal resistant

• Maximum 3 Megapixel resolution, 4:3 (2048x1536 pixels)
